The Dr. Albert A. Zanzuccki Endowed Chair in Business Administration was made possible through the generosity of John and Sheila Connors, an alumni couple who reside in Bryn Mawr, PA. Mr. Connors, an investment advisor, graduated from the University’s accounting program in 1964. Mrs. Connors is a 1965 alumnus. The couple provided the major share of the $1.5 million chair endowment, with additional funding to be contributed by other alumni and friends of the University..jpg)
The School of Business is grateful for the generosity of John and Sheila Connors and is pleased that Dr. Zanzuccki is being appropriately honored for his many contributions to Saint Francis University. “Dr. Zan”, as he is regarded, holds a distinguished record of excellence and service as a legendary accounting professor, outstanding department chair, and successful institutional advancement associate. His intense loyalty and service to the University are both admirable and inspirational. Dr. Zan’s passion for education and commitment to the development of students clearly displays his humble and generous attitude toward learning. Saint Francis University has a deep admiration for Dr. Zan and treasures his many contributions to the University. The Endowed Chair is a living tribute to his life and work at Saint Francis University.
Third Order Regular Franciscan Father Gabriel J. Zeis, President of Saint Francis University, announced the establishment of the Dr. Albert A. Zanzuccki Chair in Business Administration in December 2005, to honor the long-time professor of accounting at the University. Dr. Zanzuccki, who resides in Ebensburg, began his teaching career at Saint Francis University in 1946. During his tenure, he served as chairman of the Business Administration department for 35 years, was named Professor Emeritus of Accounting in 1984, and received an honorary doctorate from the University in 1984, upon his retirement from teaching. In 2010, he marked his 64th year of service and attended his 64th commencement at Saint Francis University.

Zanzuccki Endowed Chair in Business Administration program supports a number of strategic initiatives for the School of Business, including a distinguished annual lecture program, an Executive-in-Residence program, international travel opportunities for business students, and support for business student clubs and organizations.

Mr. John Kornitzer – Founder and CEO of Kornitzer Capital Management and the Buffalo Funds, a no-loan mutual fund group, and founder of Great Plains Trust Company.

The Executive-in-Residence program is designed to bring successful business executives to campus for two to five days to speak to business students on topics within the area of expertise. They serve as guest professors in classes and anchor a leadership course built around this innovative program. Most of the Executives-in-Residence are successful business alumni from Saint Francis University.
