Appreciated Securities/Stock allow you to support Saint Francis University while receiving a charitable deduction and possibly avoiding capital gains taxes.
To insure that your stock gift is promptly recorded and acknowledged with a receipt for your tax purposes, please notify Pam Zemrose, Advancement Services Coordinator, that you will be transferring a stock gift to the University. Also let Pam know if you wish to restrict your gift to a specific purpose. Her telephone number is (814) 472-3148, and her e-mail address is pzemrose@francis.edu. To complete the transaction to Saint Francis University, she will need to know:
Donor's Name
Name of stock and number of shares
Date of transfer
Any restriction on the gift, if applicable

Real Estate and Personal Property may also be donated to the University. Your home, land and other real estate may be used to make an immediate or life income gift. As with appreciated securities, real estate gifts held more than a year can offer significant tax benefits.
Recognition or Memorial Gifts offer an opportunity to honor someone special or remember a deceased loved one. Such gifts can be designed for any area within the University.
Tribute Programs give you the opportunity to memorailze or honor a loved one or simply reflect your loyal support for Saint Francis University. There are four distinct programs designed to meet our donors' wishes and to enhance Saint Francis University: Memorial Bench, Memorial Tree, Memorial Book, and Memorial Lockers.
Deferred or Planned Gifts allow you to contribute to the University while providing you with tax benefits and a potential income source. Visit the University's planned giving page for answers to all of your estate planning questions.
Corporate Matching Gifts are made by your employer to match your personal gift to the University. You can double, triple or even quadruple your gift to the Saint Francis University.
