Honors House Dedication
Named in honor of Dr. Thomas Bach and his wife Eileen of Johnstown, the new Bach Family Honors House was dedicated on Saturday, Sept. 30, on the campus of Saint Francis University.
“We are very grateful for the financial support over the years from Dr. and Mrs. Bach,” said Fr. Gabriel Zeis, university president. “The new facility enables us to enhance our honors program by providing a living-learning environment for about 10 students.”
Dr. Bach is retired from a well-known dental practice in the Kernville section of the Johnstown. Mrs. Bach is the former Eileen Hazen, a retired school teacher who was raised in the Morrelville area of Johnstown.
“The Bach family exemplifies the Saint Francis mission of service to the community. Their philanthropy will enable us to serve more of the region’s students who aim to pursue academically rigorous programs, many of whom will study for careers of service in our local communities,” added Fr. Zeis.
