NEW REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Beginning with the Spring 2012 semester, we are looking to implement a new method of online registration through my.francis.edu. Please follow the above link for detailed instructions on how to register.

It is important students register prior to the registration deadline if at all possible. The number of registrations received during this time determines whether a course will roster or not. Courses with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled.

Note: Classes will not be held on Monday, May 28 and Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Online - Blended Mr. Robert Griffin Loretto- Saint Francis University This course is a totally online distance education course. The only exceptions will be the first class which is designed to familiarize you with the technology that we will use in class and in-class student presentations. The first class of the semester will be a face to face (f2f) class meeting on campus. The remainder of the classes will taught using Virtual Classroom Software (called Elluminate). With Elluminate you have a computer, a web camera (optional); a headphone/microphone combination (required) that you plug into your computer. With this equipment you will be able to see and talk with your instructor. The class is still held for the same amount of time on Tuesdays, but you do not have to travel to the classroom. You just stay at home, connect using your computer at the appropriate time for class, and we all meet in cyber space at the same time. The Elluminate classes are initially given live, but they are also recorded so that if you miss a class due to business travel you can see it at a later time. Additionally, if you happen to be traveling and you have a connection to the internet, you can participate in class from your travel location. Of course, regular access to an Internet-connected computer is required to participate in this course. During this class the Elluminate software and Blackboard will be explained.
