Transfer Admissions
At Saint Francis we’ve been helping students of all types to reach higher and go further than they ever dreamed. We offer flexible transfer programs for students from accredited 2 year and 4 year colleges and universities. Once you are here, you’ll discover that whatever you do, and wherever you go, you can reach it from here. PROCEDURE FOR TRANSFER ADMISSION
Students can transfer to Saint Francis University for the start of the fall or spring semester. To be considered for transfer admission, students must submit the following: - Completed Application for Admission along with a $30.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Official college transcript from each college previously attended.
- Official high school transcript.
- SFU College Clearance Form (this form is waived is you have completed an associate or bachelor degree)
- SAT I and/or ACT Scores (this is waived if you have completed an associate or bachelor degree or have been out of high school for 5 years or longer)
- Physical Therapy applicants are also required to submit a letter of recommendation from a current professor at your most recent college or university and complete an interview with the Physical Therapy department.
- All Nursing applicants are required to complete an interview with the nursing department.
- Students who were previously enrolled in a Nursing program are required to submit the nursing evaluation/recommendation form

The Physician Assistant Program does not accept undergraduate transfers.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS- Transfer candidates must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA and 12 transferable credits to be considered for admission to Saint Francis University. Meeting the minimum grade point average does not guarantee admission to all academic programs.
- The Physical Therapy program will accept transfer applications on a space available basis.
Competitive applicants should have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 and a 3.0 GPA in math/science. 8 credits of Anatomy and Physiology and 4 credits of Exercise Physiology must be completed at Saint Francis University.
- Transfer candidates must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a 2.8 GPA in math/science requirements to be considered for admission into the nursing program. Students are only eligible to repeat 3 major/collateral courses.
- The Occupational Therapy program will accept transfer applications on a space available basis.
Transfer candidates must have a minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA to be considered for admission into the occupational therapy program.
TRANSFER CREDIT - Students can transfer a maximum of 64 credits to Saint Francis University.
- Grades of “C” or better from accredited colleges and universities will be considered for transfer credit.
- Developmental, review or remedial courses are not transferable. A course for which no credit is given at the original institution cannot be transferred for credit at Saint Francis University.
- Students who attend Pennsylvania community colleges and state universities can find course equivalencies at PA Trac.
 - Students will be exempted from English 103 if they transfer in 28 or more credits and have transferred in 6 credits of a two semester, college level sequence of English composition.
- Transfer credits are not used in the computation of your grade point average at Saint Francis University.
- Military credits can be considered for transfer credit.
SECOND DEGREE - Candidates for a second bachelor’s degree must complete a minimum of 32 credits at Saint Francis University.
- Six credits of Religious Studies must be completed at Saint Francis University in order to fulfill core requirements.
